Bio: Angela is our creative director and the master of our creative universe...not to mention the self-appointed general in charge of our office decor and design. With the combined powers of an off-the-wall imagination, oddball sense of humor, incredible stubborness and love of opinions, and an absolute refusal to let anything be unachievable, she'll make sure your projects are beautiful, unique, quirky,strategic, and useful. Angela’s background spans the industry (and even explores a few others), with experience in public relations, event planning, writing and editing, journalism and media relations, promotions,project management, and graphic and web design. She's a true benefit to the team and highly beneficial to our clients. Her previous experience includes working as Creative Director for a government contracting marketing firm out of Washington DC; an account executive at a boutique PR agency in Kansas City; a marketing and promotions representative at a major amusement park in Kansas City; a writing and photo editing assistant for the Wichita Eagle newspaper; and a broadcast assistant for KAKE TV-10 News in Wichita, KS. Angela is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Art Directors Club, and Printing Industries of Northern California.
Likes: The real-life drama that happens outside our office windows; nerd toys; coffee, coffee, coffee; the BBC and all things British (well, most things British...well, some things British); urban hiking; bagels and cream cheese; good, bad or mediocre movies; seeing my University of Kansas Jayhawks win both the Orange Bowl and the NCAA basketball title in the same year; staying up entirely too late to be reasonable; roller coasters; TiVo; horror movie marathons; making up words when I speak; KQED except during Pledge Week; thunderstorms; the first hour after my apartment has been cleaned; too-expensive designer bags; seeing the world.
Dislikes: Football and pancakes being available at the same time on Sundays; not ever getting to see my teams on California television; the superior attitude of morning people; Kansas summers or winters, fish, snakes and sad clowns; when people say anything is the “new” anything else; Fox News calling something "Fox and Friends", gross; pronouncing the word “wash” with an “r”; elections that last almost as long as the term in office; the Mizzou Tigers; mayonnaise or any aioli pretending not to be mayonnaise, but so is; getting up before 9:00am; going to bed before 1:00am; putting together IKEA furniture when the holes don't line up; sandles with socks; Pringles potato chips (they're just so pompous with that can); platform flip-flops.
